Causes: Education
Mission: Pma education fund works to be the trusted resource and thought-leader for funeral choice, education and advocacy in washington state. We envision a future where everyone has access to after-death arrangements that reflect their personal values and resources.
Programs: Making simple, dignified, affordable cremation and burial services available to consumers. This is accomplished through negotiating contracts with 19 funeral homes across the state of washington, which provides low cost cremation and burial services to members of the association.
educating members about options and encouraging them to complete advance planning documents to pre-authorize their burial or cremation arrangements. Pma education fund makes this information and these forms available to members through new member packets, educational events and on our website. Simplifying the process of pre-authorizing funeral arrangements not only assures members that their cremation or burial wishes will be honored but also helps families make informed choices that are consistent with their values as well within their family budget.
educating all consumers regarding their rights, options and responsibilities in making death care choices. This is accomplished through providing consumer information on our website, through public speaking engagements and by answering phone calls and emails for thousands of consumers every year.
