Mission: The school facilities we had worked for and the majority of our supplies have either been damaged or destroyed entirely. We are therefore introducing a program that aims to reconstruct the affected areas through fundraising to help gather school supplies and other necessities, for the survival of the population. Our reconstruction program will target the following aims: We have received hundreds of requests and have completed an initial survey to determine the first phase of assistance. Our priority is to provide as soon as possible the modules, arranged containers to rebuild the schools largely affected by Category 5 Tropical Cyclone Pam. For the first phase, we primarily need 1500 m2 of container surface (from which we can build 12 school facilities capable of accommodating a total of 1000 to 1200 children). This is a starting point from which we hope to add a surface of 3000/4000m2 for the second phase (from August to December) in order to allow our logistics on site to achieve the priority operations under good conditions and with the time necessary to the first settlements. We are already in the process of orders with suppliers and expect shipments in May and June and continuously (from August to December). All contributions are welcome. On site, we have the full support of neighborhood committees, local authorities, village chiefs, the Ministry of National Education and social & local business partners as well; a tax exemption on the import in Vanuatu authorized by the government.
Results: We have some few promised funds, and other funds coming in soon, however the situation is still very difficult, as we desperately seek across all the social networks the maximum help and support we can get, to carry through our projects as soon as possible. Our combined participation can, indeed, change the lives of thousands of our youth who seek to use their knowledge to serve their families and communities.

Direct beneficiaries per year: 800 students, build 4 schools
Geographic areas served: Vanuatu
Programs: We, The Pikininis Vanuatu Association, have been doing everything within our capable hands to help the children of Vanuatu. For the past ten years our association has been providing education, funding programs and building schools for the children of Vanuatu in order to protect and educate future generations and ensure the well-being of the nation as a whole We have received hundreds of requests and have completed an initial survey to determine the first phase of assistance. Our priority is to provide as soon as possible the modules, arranged containers to rebuild the schools largely affected by Category 5 Tropical Cyclone Pam. We have the support of local authorities, village leaders and communities to participate in the implementation of these modules, as well; a tax exemption on the import in Vanuatu authorized by the government. On our website, you will find all the testimonial mails, the list of essential school supplies, the photos of all the damaged schools, and specifics on our project concerning the ongoing operation “Shelter for Everyone”. In order to meet our project and provide services in Vanuatu’s communities, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support. We are very concerned for our children. They haven’t been back to school since the Cyclone PAM appeal. With enough funds and support, our project will have great potential/benefices.
