Programs: The philadelphia children's alliance is an independent non-profit organization that promotes healing and justice for sexually abused children in philadelphia. Using a multidisciplinary approach, we collaborate with our partners in child protection, law enforcement, and medical and mental health services to provide forensic interviews, victim support, medical evaluation and counseling services at the philadelphia safety collaborative, a co-located child-friendly facility. We are committed to using best practices and we promote this model locally and nationally. In fy 2017, pca provided forensic interviews to 1,916 children and 2,177 caregivers received victim support services. In addition, 182 children received therapy and 560 children received on-site medical evaluations.
pca is the recipient of a federal grant from the office of juvenile justice and delinquency prevention, entitled the northeast regional children's advocacy center (nrcac). This grant provides funding for pca/nrcac to offer training and technical assistance to existing and developing children's advocacy centers in nj, pa, ny, ct, ri, ma, nh, vt and me.
