Mission: The mission of PEIVDF is to provide advanced veterinary dental services for the benefit of captive exotic animals located in facilities in the US and abroad through an increase in the provision of advanced veterinary dental services and veterinary dental education.
Results: PEIVDF began conducting Missions in October 2008, first as a private foundation, now as a public 501(c)(3) charity. In just under 3 years, our small charity has: * Treated 85 animals at 10 sanctuaries during 19 rescue operations: - lions, tigers, leopards, cougars, jaguars, bears, wolves, hippos, chimpanzees, baboons, and ferrets, to name a few species * Performed 160 Root Canal Therapies, 76 Extractions, and 19 other procedures This may seem like a lot of animals and a lot of procedures, but remember, there are more than 400 exotic animal sanctuaries and more than 200 zoos and aquariums in the US and Canada alone. That leaves a LOT of animals in need of dental work! Please help us continue our work by DONATING today!
