Mission: The people's music school delivers high-quality, tuition free music education to 600 students across 40 zip codes in chicago. We aim to unlock the potential of chicago's youth through music by offering intensive instruction and performance. Their achievement to music transfers to other areas in life and our students grow musically, socially, emotionally and intellectually. They develop a foundation of responsibility, self esteem, resilience and purpose.
Programs: The people's music school delivered tuition free music education to 600 students from across 40 zip codes in chicago in fy17. At our four program sites, each student received between 2-12 hours of high quality musical instruction each week. Together our students comprise 25 ensembles across music genres. 98% of students advance at least one musical level each year.
