Mission: Promote the health benefits of a plant based diet along with spitituality.
Programs: Backpack lunch program - purchased and delivered food to boise-eliot, gilbert heights, harvey scott, ivy, king, lincoln park, sabin, sacramento elementary schools. Served 300+ children monthly through the lunch program. Benevolence - gave monetary donations to the the following purposes: student book scholarship/tuition assistance, grocery food cards for needy families, rent assistance, bereavement/funeral cost assistance, donations to community, transitional school for homeless students, medical expense assistance, donation to portland adventist community services for low income families, distributed food to 7 schools for weekend back pack lunch, program on monthly basis, school supplies for needy families. Health education - spread the message of a healthy diet and lifestyle: co-sponsored health seminar, dr. David derose of compass health c0-sponsored seminar by dwayne lemon participated in nw veg fest donated and participated in portland impact health which provided free medical, dental and optical services to low income individuals
