Mission: The mission of the peabody auditorium foundation is to support the peabody auditorium through advocacy and fundraising to ensure a financially stable future for a culturally rich environment. The foundations vision is that the peabody auditorium will be the iconic performing arts center, a magnet for world class cultural performances, artistic activities, and educational opportunities; a centerpiece of the community supporting the interests and needs of the diverse population of daytona beach, florida, and the surrounding region. The foundation oversees annual membership, sponsorship and capital campaigns, community and youth outreach programming, and special events.
Programs: The 2017 year programming included ticket distribution of theater tickets and bus transportation to low-income county youth as part of the foundations arts education/outreach programming; capital improvement to renovate and modernize the peabody including plaster work and painting of the theater auditorium and sound system equipment purchase; annual membership campaign and annual fundraising events (art of giving gala january 2017 and september 2017), mardi gras ball (february 2017), as well as several smaller fundraising and networking events to re-engage the community with the auditorium.
