Mission: To share the legacy of paul revere, his life, home, and neighborhood by preserving two of boston's oldest homes and by providing a local, national, and international audience with a remarkable educational experience.
Programs: Museum/exhibitions/collections: the association actively preserves and interprets two of boston's oldest homes (paul revere house ca. 1680 and hichborn house ca. 1711). The houses serve as the historical museum exhibiting period artifacts. In 2016, the museum opened an education and visitor center in a restored 1835 building behind the paul revere house. The museum is open to the public for tours all year round. During the warmer weather the experience is enhanced with living history presentations and family focused programs. Almost 310,000 visitors from "up the street" and around the world enjoyed our site this year, with an additional 30,000 served through outreach programs. The association has been accredited by the american alliance of museums since 1985.
educational programs/research/publications: the association provides an increasingly diverse audience with a remarkable educational experience on the life and times of paul revere and the revere family. This is achieved through a range of programs including: school, after-school and summer camp programs, family programs, living history presentations, exhibits, lectures and teacher training programs both on and offsite. The association also maintains their website, www. Paulreverehouse. Org, which offers visitors an additional educational experience. The association also supports research by sponsoring fellowships, providing internship programs at the museum, and publishes scholarly research on a regular basis.
