Programs: Blake house llc operates under the umbrella of pathway to hope. It provides low-cost, affordable housing for individuals diagnosed with mental illness and able to live independently. Residents sign an annual lease and may live at blake house as long as they would like to, barring any unforesen circumstances that would prevent them from doing so. For one fee, the residence receives their room (could share with one other person), food, access to laundry facilities and supplies, all utilities paid, cable tv, internet access, in a beautiful living environment. Living in a community dictates taht all residents participate in doing the various chores (from shopping for food to cleaning the bathrooms) and in choosing the menu and cooking the evening meals (5 days a week). Residents are free to come and go as they please and communicate with other residents in a considerate manner.
e-3 course is a 10 module course taught by trained volunteers that have personal experience caring for someone with mental illness. Each module will foucs on a different mental health diagnosis and will include information about treatment options, techniques for handling real-life situations, and strategies to help caregivers manage their responses to the illness. These classes offer support to anyone caring for a friend or family member with mental illness and community members wanting to learn
peer facilitated weekly process groups are informal, candid weekly sessions for families and survivors living with mental illness. The goal is to be a tangible place where empathy, validation, confronting of fears, positive social interaction, networking, a resource library, information on community services, caring and sharing are available.
