Pawsitive Tails is a fantastic organization. We have had our sweet Miss Millie now for 3 weeks, and our experience with Pawsitive Tails far exceeded our expectations. Crystal was in contact with us about finding our forever furry friend. Miss Millie was in pretty bad shape, but with the loving care of our fantastic Foster Mom, Megan, Millie came to us healthy and happy. Megan kept us informed about Millie's health the entire time Millie was with her. Our family cannot express enough of our gratitude to Crystal and Megan for all they have done for Millie and for all the pets they help find forever homes.
Crystal, who runs the rescue, is the best person I know. Total selflessness. She spends all of her time trying to help everyone. I've adopted a dog from them and I've donated, volunteered, and fostered and can say that I'm not sure there is a better rescue out there.

Lack of communication. Sent several emails asked for someone to call me to explain why my wife and I were not approved for adoption so we could resolve the issue. We couldn't not get anyone to reply. We finally figured out that it was because our current dog we have was 2 months behind on her shots. No big deal, made the appointment got the shots. Reached back out to pawsitive tails to let them know that no thanks to them we found the issue an corrected it. Still no response. So after much frustration and disappointment. I decided that it is WAY TO MUCH TROUBLE to try and rescue an animal. That's probably why all the shelters are over flowing. Yes I get it they want to make sure the pets are going to a good home but the communication sucks, we resolved our issues that we had to figure out our self , showed proof that the problem was taken care and still could not get a response. So I decided to go to Craigslist found a puppy within 15 minutes, texted the people and they replied instantly, wife and I picked up our new puppy 2 hours later. We really wanted to rescue a dog but the lack of communication and professionalism did not allow that to happen. No wonder they are overflowing with animals. Very sad !!
Our community is so fortunate to have Crystal and Pawsitive Tails Dog Rescue. We began fostering for PT within the past couple years and are lucky to continue to do so. Animal welfare can be really hard sometimes, but Crystal and the rescue have proved to be a compassionate, transparent, and amazing organization. We are grateful to be a part of it!
Wonderful organization and smooth adoption process. Our foster mama had Takoda potty trained, sitting, and doing other tricks before we even brought her home. Best decision we have ever made. Takoda is 2 years old. We donate monthly.
I adopted two of my three rescues from them and have watched my grandparents foster dozens of dogs for Pawsitive Tails. They have the biggest hearts and are saving the lives of so many deserving dogs! I love this rescue and everything they do.

Pawsitive Tails is a great nonprofit. We have both our fur babies from them. They not only provide adoption, but anytime u have questions they r there. They become friends. And do so many things to help stay connected and help be involved. I am so blessed to have this group a part of my life and I’m very thankful for my Bentley and Stella. They rock!!!
Pawsitive Tails is an amazing rescue full of amazing volunteers! Since I was introduced to them in 2017, I have witnessed thousands of dogs, who otherwise didn’t have a chance, get the help they desperately needed and adopted into wonderful homes! The volunteers make sure the home is a good fit before letting the pups get adopted!
I've adopted my Furbaby from Pawsitive Tails Inc. & van & will say that ALL are a Wonderful Group of individual's.
Crystal made sure that everything was proper for him to come into my home. Home inspection, other pet visit, health of my Furbaby (shot's, wormed, chipped, sterilized).
There's so, so many Furbabies out there that need's a safe loving home & the Group makes sure each & everyone of their adoptees have this before leaving their Rescue.
Pawsitive tails is amazing. They helped us adopt our dog Eugene who is the most amazing addition to our family. We are so thankful for pawsitive tails!
I adopted Sadie through them and have volunteered since, they help so many animals and owners who are having difficulties with getting their pets medical treatment, transportation, food, etc

My words can never describe the way I feel about this village of the kindest, most dedicated , supportive group of people that are Pawsitive TailsRescue. Our rescue was saved from euthanasia because these folks refused to let a little puppy be denied his chance at life because someone decided to try and beat him to death and then threw him away to die, alone in a wooded area in Topeka Kansas. He was found there and taken to an emergency hospital with severe breaks of three of his little puppy legs, breaks so bad they didn’t think they could save them. His jaw was broken and his baby teeth broken at the gum line. Pawsitive Tails found out and took charge of him, determined this two to three month old puppy was given a chance and brought him to Olathe where he received the necessary medical and emotional attention. He had complicated surgery on his legs and had to be rehabbed for several months. He wasn’t able to walk for quite awhile, requiring specialized care by his earth angel, Crystal Tucker. Her devotion, and his many, many cheerleaders produced the sweetest, gentlest dog I’ve ever been blessed with and I am forever grateful for their humanity. It takes special people to do what these rescues do and the people that devote themselves to these helpless animals can never be thanked enough. Thank you Pawsitive Tails for saving my sweet #Valorstrong. Thank you all for what you do-driving all over the country to rescue these animals, thank you for all the effort you put forth to help make medical attention available to those so neglected. You all are amazing!

My sweet rescue is named Valor-short for #Valorstrong. This pup was found beaten and left for dead in a wooded area of Topeka Kansas. Three severely broken legs requiring surgery and external screws and no walking for a long period of time. This little trooper was taken in and cared for by Pawsitive Tails, specifically by Crystal and Joe Tucker and loved by many of the village. These volunteers are the most awesome people I’ve had the grace of knowing-these poor helpless souls are rescued daily by a group that seems to always put the animals needs ahead of their own. I am in awe of each and everyone of them-their commitment and love is beyond measure. No miles are too many to travel to save a helpless ones life. They deserve daily recognition for the efforts they put in each and everyday and the love they give to unwanted little fur balls!
Pawsitive Tails gave us our family’s missing piece, and a loving community full of people who are just as obsessed with their fur babies as we are!
Hands down, Pawsitive Tails Dog Rescue is the most amazing Rescue that I’ve ever volunteered for. There is something for everyone! Fostering, transporting, helping with adoption events & fundraisers, social media posters, graphic design. But what I love most is their founder, Crystal Tucker and the entire village of volunteers who all dedicate their hearts & souls to helping dogs in need. Together, we are stronger.

I’ve volunteered for several rescues & Pawsitive Tails is the best! The founder, Crystal Paul Tucker, is my hero. She knows how to lead, motivate, & support all of the volunteers. Her support is unquestionable. My favorite example: a new foster brought a dog into her home. Volunteer was keeping new dog separated until appropriate for a meet & greet. Her dog was able to get loose and the foster dog & her dog got into it - bad. The volunteer had to go to the hospital. By the time she got home, Crystal had a gorilla crate set up in the volunteer’s home & the dogs settled down. And - the volunteer was in Lawrence so Crystal had to drive from Olathe to there. In the evening. At a moments notice. And she did it. She deserves so much recognition & love.
I’ve always heard good things about Pawsitive Tails dog rescue. Since volunteering I’ve met lots of amazing people who truly have an amazing heart and will go above and beyond for the lives of these pups. I feel like I have a whole new purpose in life and it’s the best feeling ever.. with the best rescue ever!!
This rescue is by far the best in the KC area. There is no physical shelter and all rescued pups (mostly from over-crowded shelters sometimes moments before they would be euthanized) are placed in loving foster homes to find them perfect forever homes. Crystal and her “village” have saved thousands of dogs and I am lucky to have found my perfect pup, Cooper through them. As always : Adopt don’t shop! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Pawsitive Tails !!
My family and I have been fostering with PT for almost a year now. We just adopted our first pup with PT and it’s a super easy process and they are wonderful to work with. I am extremely grateful for all the hard work these humans put into this rescue. Fostering has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done in my life.
My Sadie was found by Pawsitive Tails last year in a ditch covered in fleas and ticks. She was suffering and they knew she needed extra care. They called a volunteer who is also a nurse in case she needed fluids. With her care and love along with her pack of large dogs Sadie was well enough to be adopted weeks later.
We love her so much! Thank you to Pawsitive Tails and Melissa Kirkland for saving her. She’s so worth it!
I applied to meet an available foster dog on the Pawsitive Tails website. My application got approved the next day and stated that the foster would be in contact within 24-48 hours. I never heard back even after reaching out multiple times over email. Now the dog is no longer available. Pawsitive Tails has no phone number or reliable way to get in contact. Would not recommend adopting from them.
I got my first dog actually a year ago today! Choose Pawsitive Tails was the best choice i could have made. Not only are they an amazing nonprofit to work with, they introduced me to my best friend and i couldn’t be more thankful!
We adopted our girl almost 2 years ago. I love the application process that is required. It helps ensure these pups are going to the perfect furever homes. The staff and fosters are very knowledgeable and friendly. I will never get another pup from anywhere else!
Have 2 unexpected fur babies through this wonderful organization! They have changed my life and I am forever thankful to know I got 2 healthy girls from a rescue that saves the most vulnerable babies.
Ever thankful for the Pawsitive Tails team and all they do for the animals in our community!
My sweet Cameron
Awesome people who care above and beyond!!!!!!! Luka has a great home and they were incredibly helpful
About a year and a half ago my husband and I had finally gotten to where we lived in a place we could have pets. We always knew we wanted to rescue and we had been following lots of animal rescues on social media. We originally fell in love with another pup from Pawsitive Tails but it wasn’t meant to be as she was adopted before we were approved. Everything happens for a reason though because at that same time someone was returning our perfect boy. Kylo is a smaller sized husky who is very chill and amazingly well behaved for his breed. I had spent months trying to prepare my husband for how much work huskies are as he’d never had one and I grew up with them. Then somehow we got the most low maintenance husky ever! I can never thank the volunteers at Pawsitive Tails enough for saving his life from a rural Oklahoma shelter and taking care of him until he made it to us .
I got my wonderful border collie/ german shepherd here. The people are fantastic, and are very thorough in their vetting process to ensure they go to a good home. They help these dogs at their moment of need most, rescues, euthanasia list dogs from shelters and any other horrible situation you could think of. I recommend them to absolutely everyone!!!!!
I started as an adopter with Pawsitive Tails. After having worked in the rescue field I was immediately impressed with how this organization is run. The volunteers are so caring and dedicated and every animal is taken care of to the best of their ability. I am now a volunteer for them and feel blessed to be part of the “team!”
At the end of 2017 my husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor and it was a very difficult time for us. We decided that there was too much cancer talk in our lives and we needed to rescue a puppy to bring some joy to our lives. We found Pawsitive Tails and were so impressed that all the dogs were in foster homes being loved and cared for. We found our perfect puppy and his foster mom was amazing and had a wonderful family and lots of fur babies. We brought our new puppy home and although we had all the unfun puppy stuff like getting up at 3 am to go outside in zero degree weather to potty, and housebreaking, chewing up some shoes, etc, we had gotten a wonderful new family member. Sadly there are so many puppies living in horrific circumstances that need to be saved. The volunteers at Pawsitive Tails are always working to find, transport and foster those puppies so they can be happy and healthy. I am so thankful for Pawsitive Tails and all the good things they do. Crystal and all the volunteers give unselfishly of their time and energy to give all of these sweet puppies a new, better life.
This group is incredible! A network of angels-doing such important and compassionate work for the most vulnerable pups. Taking in dogs from all over the country. So professional and commited. Our pup was brought from Oklahoma with her 9 puppies. They answered an urgent call and saved 10 beauties that are now making 10 families lives more joyful! Very grateful for their amazing work!!
Chrystal is the most amazing person. We are seniors and had adopted a an adorable little Chi from them and named him Patches. Tragedy happened and he was killed . We were broken. Chrystal put us back together again by giving us a most adorable little pomchi. Thank you Chrystal so much.
You are a sweet angel. Samantha is so loved but I’m afraid her parents are a little over protective.

One of my beloved dogs died rather suddenly in July. I was heartbroken but needed to find another dog companion for my remaining dog. I visited many shelters and web sites but needed to find a dog that was a good fit with my dog and my life. The hard thing about shelters is they are such an unnatural environment for dogs and it's difficult to see their true personalities in loud, noisy cages on short visits. What attracted me to Pawsitive Tails was that they take dogs from shelters, integrate them into a foster home and the dog has a chance to blossom. The foster parents are true dog people who care about the dog and finding a good home. From first contact by email through the application process to meeting the dog I felt like I was working with the right people and was getting a great dog. When Bon Bon came home with me I felt fully prepared to help her adjust and gain her confidence. My dog's foster mom was exceptional and shared with me some of Bon Bon's quirks. This allowed me to be fully prepared and to begin addressing her fear of strangers immediately. Because the foster mom had her own dogs I felt assured that Bon Bon would easily blend in with my other good natured dog. I've had Bon Bon about a month now and it's as if she has always been a part of my home. She is well adjusted, happy and ready to please. All shelter dogs would have better outcomes if they could go to an organization like Pawsitive Tails. This is a amazing organization that is well run with incredible, selfless volunteers that put the dog first and foremost in their mission
This group indeed does God's work by saving wonderful dogs who need a family and people who need a loyal friend. We love the gentle dog we adopted through Pawsitive Tails, Inc. She is a rock star in our sub-division and a source of joy for my wife and I.
This group of nothing but fosters (well actually angels) brought my sweet Daisy Mae to me two years ago. She has brought me so much joy! Thank you Pawsitive Tails for everything you do to provide loving homes to so many homeless pets!
We adopted our puppy through Pawsitive Tails. They were great to work with. All dogs are fostered in loving homes. The adoption fee took care of puppy shots, spay/neutering, chip and all of the care from the foster. The people behind the scenes of this organization are 150% dedicated to saving dogs; they are amazing, hard working advocates.
They will do anything and everything to make sure there rescues get great homes. And the best care while waiting for a home with caring Foster family’s ! I got my sweet Puppa Tucker from them and it was a great experience . I love how they have a Facebook page so you can see how Happy all the rescued pups are loving life now !! Highly Recommend Pawsitive Tails Rescue !!❤️❤️❤️!!!
Just adopted my little girl Dottie the Dalmatian. Pawsitive Tails was so wonderful to work with! Move than just a rescue for animals, they care about the new owners as well and are always available to help with questions and concerns! Best experience I have had bar none in adopting and I have adopted several animals over the years! Pawsitive Tails Inc. has my vote for the BEST nonprofit!
We found our new pup Harley at Pawsative Tails. Her momma was afraid at the shelter in another state and was on the kill list. They rescued her and found out she was pregnant. Thankfully so many lives saved!
They do amazing work saving these precious animals. The stories of everyone of these dogs are incredible.
I follow many organizations on Facebook that help animals. I started following Pawsitive Tails after I met a new friend named Rebecca at a dinner benefit for a local non kill shelter about 6 years ago. After my Nala passed away at the age of 14 unexpectedly I was depressed and heart broken. I still have 3 other dogs but there was still a empty spot. I would scroll through Facebook and think "how do I choose just 1 when so many need help?" So I decided to Foster so I could help many different animals. I chose Pawsitive Tails because they have no building, business, etc. The rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption are all done from volunteers homes. I now have my first Foster baby and I made the right choice. I have the best network for advice, transportation for the foster if I'm working. The most friendliest best hearted people ever. Thank you all.
I adopted my dog from one of Pawsitive Tail's fosters a year ago and had a very good experience. They seem to actually care about the animals. They checked my references and required a meet & greet before allowing me to adopt my dog, which I was more than happy to pay the rehoming fee since she was up to date on shots and fixed. She came with her favorite toys and some food. The foster parents were also very informative and answered my many questions! They have an alumni group on Facebook that allows me and any other people who have adopted from them to post updates and pictures on their pets, which I think is fantastic!
Adopting my beautiful girl is one of the best things that has ever to me!
Pawsitive Tails helped me find a piece of my heart I didn't know was missing. They saved my sweet, malnourished, mangy little puppy and gave him a safe home while he waited for me to find him. They answered all my questions, even when I was a little excessive with them. They accommodated my limited time to come introduce my other furry piece of my heard to him and ultimately made an easy transition from their lovely foster home to mine. They invited me to join an alumni Facebook group, which has brought a group of us fur-baby moms and dads together to celebrate all the beauty that comes with adopting a dog.
Crystal and everyone is amazing and I and we adopted Zoey ( Jasmine) Pawstive tails Is amazing with the dedication to save animals.
I transport and foster for PTR, we try and make it a easy as possible for our fosters. PTR always steps up to help and assist dogs in need.
