One of the members has opened her center. We are currently working with cyfd to make changes to make documentation bilingual for providers. "pca is collaborating on international workers day event, may 1, 2017 from 4-7pm at tiguex park. We will be organizing families and contacting potential partners for this event. The event is to demonstrate unity between our diverse communities and stand in solidarity with one another on issues that effect us. "on february 16-19, 2017 pca participated in the us regional world meeting of popular movements in modesto, california. A delegation from new mexico attended. The delegation comprised of organizations and members from northern, central and southern new mexico. After the meeting we came together to discuss our experiences and how we can work closer with the archdiocese of santa fe. Follow up includes know your rights trainings at local parishes as well as intentional organization "we continue to partner with explora and offering engineering hands-on workshops for children in collaboration with parents. "pca community coalition working committees have continued to meet and engage in art-making and in agriculture capacity building related to the community table and tile projects "hosted a national film crew for interviews with pca parents and staff on behalf of the kellogg foundation "hosted training on budget fairness and justice with pca facilitators with the goal of building a core team that will advocate for access to health care and a fair economy "pca hosted immigrant community celebration on june 17th at the pca campus. More than 125 families gathered for a day of healing and celebration. "pca completed the 2016-2017 communities for education and action cycle. We trained 120 new leaders through the ap, cofi curricula and also through the home based provider network. Pca has met with the aps superintendent for the sw quadrant and will be entering into a strategic partnership with aps for cea in 2017-2018. "implemented health care for all summit on june 30th - purpose is to build a cross-racial, cross-geographic coalition of immigrant, chicano and native american leaders around the issue of universal access to quality health care. 35 leaders participated. We're currently developing an 18-month strategic plan for this project. "cea expansion to santa fe: pca led 10- week, ap course with 18 immigrant leaders through the santa fe-based earth care. Course ends on july 28th.
