Causes: Cancer
Mission: The corporation is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes, including, for such purposes: (i) the promotion, establishment and support of medical research activities related to the prevention and treatment of various types of cancer, including without limitation, the obtaining, sharing and exchange of medical research and other data and information from and with cancer patients and their treating physicians
Programs: Completed strategic market analysis plan for biobank and elementary market research in oncologists. Established tumor groups for cancer and has started with building the patient recruitment protocol in breast cancer. Established key collaborations and partnerships, including: - clinical practices for patient recruitment and clinical trials (north wst medical specialties) - further alliances with focus on tissue procurement facilities and biobank ( indivumed, tra and co-founder's biobank facility at swedish hospital). Selected the initial genetic tests specific for breast cancer and institutions to carry out the tests for both diagnostic and research purposes according to the protocol. Establish basic criteria and algorithms to support patient recruitment (work in progress). Participated in educational event organized by genome sciences uw. Presented at life sciences innovation nw. Gave interview at wsu radio station informing the public on personalized medicine. Published two manuscripts and submitted an abstract for presentation at the american college of physicians wa chapter.
