Mission: The organizations mission, in this era of globalization, is to preserve the values of openness and creativity of the renaissance, one of the foundations of the enlightenment and of modern western societies.
Programs: The renaissance man or woman of the year award:the renaissance man or woman of the year award is given to identify individuals who, over the course of their lives, have represented the renaissance values that connect the greek and roman classical periods, the enlightenment, and our own time. The palazzo strozzi foundation usa will identify people who have had a life long impact on many different fields, whether it be by breaking new frontiers, displaying extraordinary entrepreneurship, supporting philanthropy, humanistic disciplines and the arts, or by supporting social causes and global understanding in the international economy or society, these individuals have been directly involved in serving their or the international community for the common good.
the palazzo strozzi high school renaissance award:the award is an essay competition on the renaissance for 11th grade public high school students. The winners will be provided with a fully funded one month trip to italy to study the renaissance and travel throughout the country.
