Mission: To revitalize and promote the community of pacific beach both physically and economically.
Programs: Deisgn improvements purchased and installed trash receptacles throughout the district. Produced the pacific beach tuesday farmers market to increase awareness of using local products and promote foot traffic into the business district. Provided cleaning and beautification services including graffiti removal, trash abatement, sweeping and debris removal, power washing, sidewalk sweeping and weed abatement along busy corridors. Provided security throughout district to monitor issues such as trespassing, disorderly behavior and vandalism. Managaed the beach area community court and installed custom bike corrals throughout the district.
marketing, communications, promotions and events hosted two annual restaurant walks, the heart of pacific beach restaurant walk and coast of pacific beach restaurant walk, which attracted new customers to over 50 participating restaurants. Continued shop local campaign featuring locally owned businesses, entilted eat, drink, shop, think. . . . Pb produced 10 other events throughout the fiscal year including christmas on cyrstal pier, holiday parade, sip n stroll, bikes, boards brew, and annual awards dinner. Biggest event of the year was the pacific beachfest which attracted over 50,000 visitors to pacific beach and promoted over 65 neighborhood businesses. Produced both electronic and mailer newsletters and increased social media presence. Redesigned website to integrate business directory and events.
