The educational forums further the oia's purpose by helping to educate members on the tenets of osteopathic medicine and facilitate the understanding of the differences between osteopathic medicine in the united states and osteopathy around the world. Futhermore, the educational forums help advance the recognition of osteopathic medicine in more countries around the world.
