Mission: To support local talent and to attract new audiences to opera by presenting it as a living, dynamic art form and utilizing an intimate performance space.
Programs: Opera vivente performed 3 operas (4 performances each)during the fiscal year utilizing performers from the local community and surrounding states. The organization participates in the city-sponsored artscape event annually. During 2010 and 2011 the company initiated the "ov academy", a 5-wk educational program for young artists interested in all aspects of opera performance.
