Mission: Nurturing contemporary art by providing exhibition opportunities and resources for emerging artists, curators and local public school students
Programs: Exhibition and public events: nurturearts exhibition program and public events supports emerging artists and curators by giving them a platform and resources to show their work as well as broad audience exposure. The program includes 7onsite exhibitions, a video art festival, 4-6 performances, 4-6 talks and panels, attendance of 4500. Program participants included 8 curators and 75 artists.
education program: the education outreach programs provide arts education to k-12 underserved public school students and their teachers. Programs include classes in public schools, exhibitions of student artwork, visits to nurtureart and other art spaces, professional development for teachers, and other community projects. It directly involves 250 students, 12 classroom teachers, and 14 teaching artists, with events that serve 860 attendees.
