This company is terrible to work for. They take advantage of their small staff and demand a lot of personal time and personal accounts (zip car, cell phones, etc.) to be used for the company without compensating. The benefits that they offer are dismal, and while the Executive Director will spin a very pretty picture of the work and what the expectations are though out the interview process, once an employee begins, a different expectation is placed on them. If anyone is considering volunteering or working for this company it is highly recommended to get anything that is agreed upon during the offer process in writing because it will most likely get reneged after the employee starts. While the teaching artists are talented and offer great classes, this company is poorly run administratively. Their Department of Education invoices are phony and they don't keep accurate records of the teaching artists working in the schools. They then charge the funder for the hours they claim but aren't actually accurate. Teaching Artists are "strongly encouraged" to not file for unemployment benefits if their class isn't continued as it will "red flag" the company. This company should be investigated and then given some serious management assistance if they are not shut down.

I was surprised when they showed up with a whole case of formula and 2 cases of diapers and wipes for my baby. <br>God bless the team at campaign4moms.........

Several years ago I discovered Hosh yoga classes right around the corner from my home. What a gift!...the close proximity, the affordable class fee, the welcoming, skilled teachers all made my initiation to a yoga practice my own personal "perfect storm." Over the years, though, the challenge for me has been keeping consistent. Each and every time that I returned to Hosh, after a gap in practicing, I was always amazed at two things. One, that there were always improvements and changes...whether it was improvements to the physical space, different classes, workshops, teacher training(!) or various social gatherings and two, what even amazed me more, was that I would approach a class after a gap with some uneasiness and maybe some reluctance and as soon as I entered the door I would smell lavendar...I would get settled on my mat ....and it would feel like....aaahhh...what took you so long? Hosh has a special feeling about it...you are welcomed, supported and encouraged by dedicated teachers and staff. It's my secret home away from home....Thank you Hosh!

My experience as a donor with the Shirley Chisholm Cultural Institute has been enlightening. I've learned valuable information about social justice and civil rights. The institute’s innovative programs are great because they build strong interactions with the community. I appreciate how the SCCI helps to keep Congresswoman Chisholm’s legacy alive as an inspiration for future generations. I think it's important to support and donate to this organization that is making a difference in the interest of a greater good.

My experience as a founding member, facilitator, and advisory board member with The Other Side has been incredible. The program gives participants a safe and creative space to reflect on and create stories about their experience as girls in their own communities, and share those stories with girls around the world to connect to and learn from one another. With many inspiring education and theatre professionals on the team, I'm confident that this year's participants will have a fantastic time expressing themselves, learning from their global peers, and creating something together that they can all be proud of and carry with them into the future as ambassadors of global sisterhood.

I love the idea of bringing two communities together to find what they have in common.

I have been involved with IHI since 1994. During those years I have seen IHI grow and expand its reach, providing various needed Community services such as : After School and Summer Camp Programs, Adult literacy Programs, Community Health awareness events like "Walk to live" . <br>Encouraging Parents and children alike to take responsibility for their health through exercise and diet. IHI had organized various other events always encouraging Community involvement. <br>In Liberia IHI is providing access to consistent health care through its Clinic and proactive awareness. There is also a Literacy Programs as well. IHI has gone through various socioeconomic climates, however because of the dedication and love of Community and Service, Imani House Inc continues to be a shining example of what a community organization should be, and much more.

Black Women's Blueprint (BWB) is one of the most influential nonprofit organizations I have come across. I truly didn't know much about Rape Culture of Black Women in America until I came across BWB, in which I was very much informed about the history & present of of the Rape Culture of Black Women through Black Women's' Voices. I myself am a survivor of sexual & domestic abuse, & hearing other Black Women talk about their similar experiences in a space that provides that for us is so inspiring for many. I really appreciate BWB for all the services they provide to our community and it is most certainly one of the best organizations I take part in.

If you want to establish some direction in your child's life, Starting Artists is the place to begin. Marisa and Lacey are the most talented, respectful, and loving people you could ever want to have as mentors for your children. My son is 12 and he has grown so much in all aspects since he has been attending Starting Artist. The classes they offer are so detailed and full of creativity that my child isn't done with one day before he is itching to return for more. The places they visit and the people they meet are also extremely interesting and what a great way to help your child enjoy the wonderful things this great city has to offer. Your kids have only one chance to be kids. Why not surround them with the best resources, tools, and people so that they could have a life time of memmories as well as develop interests and talents you may not even know they have. I know I don't regret sending my son to Starting Artists and I'm sure you won't either.

Lisa Dennett and her staff have provided many workshops for teachers and students at conferences sponsored by my organization - The New York State Theatre Education Association (NYSTEA). She taught me many techniques that I used with my special needs students. In addition, her company performed in my school district, Manhasset UFSD, many times. IDEAS is a fantastic organization. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

AOP not only commissions and produces great opera, they encourage artists by way of their training programs and by creating opportunities for them, even in times of difficulty. They value diversity and inclusion and are just plain fun!

I am so lucky to be on the board of this great organization! Getting to help this mission has been a passion of mine. Shake It Out brings girls who live in the crowed city to upstate NY to a college campus. They get to perform and learn theatre and experience personal growth! It's even better that they have experienced teachers helping these girls! I am so happy to be associated and can't wait to see what the future brings!

Every time I have the chance to volunteer any time with Cool Culture I feel so GREAT and Happy to have been part of their activities. They provide such a critical opportunity for families to engage in early learning circumstances TOGETHER when often there isn't time or organized activities when families can take part in these fantastic events. Then there are the educational outreach encounters with other educators who are enriched by the collaborative energy and resources that are shared. If Cool Culture could only be a national program it would surely help the critical case for early learning that needs much more family involvement. I haven't even started about the GREAT places they set up their events too!! NYC museums its just amazing what this group can do and DOES!

Such an amazing circle of support! This group is fun, positive, upbeat and impactful. The children develop new skills in a variety of subjects, from entrepreneurship, creative expression to teamwork & collaboration skills.

This organization pushed me to graduate high school in the top 3 % of my class with an adavanced regents diploma and my dance regents diploma...without Moving Mountains giving me something to look forward to, I wouldnt have believed in myself the way I did and I wouldnt have went off to college

As someone interested in both activism (particularly human rights activism) and the arts, I am consistently -- and always immensely --impressed by the work WITNESS does. WITNESS manages to be an organization that is strongly committed to its web presence and the power of technology in general -- while simultaneously (and just as strongly) interested in foregrounding the importance of grass-roots activism in their work, and the inherent ability of the video-medium o capture raw human emotion in first document and eventually creating accessible narratives about human rights abuses. Thank you WITNESS for your wonderful work!

For almost two decades, Scenarios has worked tirelessly to bring youth voices to the forefront of social impact movements. In that time, we have worked with over 100,000 students and 4,000 teachers all over the country; produced 27 youth-written films; won awards at numerous film festivals worldwide; broadcast on major networks; and created five impactful curricula. We still have more work to do.<br /><br />Join the movement to center young people in the conversations shaping their lives<br /><br />Our mission is becoming increasingly more important. We have seen the transformative process of our program extend beyond the classroom and the films. The students find strength in their own voices and abilities to affect change, not only in their own lives, but also in the lives of their communities ' and the world. Every day, we are inundated with troubling news from all over. Never has the time to affect change been more crucial.<br /><br />Scenarios aims to help young people become critical thinkers and active players in society. We support the process of storytelling and its effect on helping young people to identify who they are and the kind of impact they want to make-however they choose to make it. Many of our students have become filmmakers, but just as many have gone on to become teachers, writers, counselors, activists, and influencers in other fields. Many of our directors have credited their partnership with students making them better storytellers. Teachers have reported that their students were more engaged in school after participating in our curriculum. Still we have more work to do.

Since writing my earlier review, I have joined the board of the Mark Morris Dance Group. I am thrilled that there will be a premiere of Mark Morris' new work, Acis and Galatea. The world premiere will be in Berkeley, CA, and the Northeast premiere will be in Boston, MA. There will be a performance to follow at Lincoln Center.

Low accountability culture. Operations are driven by the personal whims of the director rather than transparent or consistent policy. HR engagement is minimal, with little to no oversight or advocacy for staff. Questionable and potentially deceptive labor practices raise serious concerns. Please reconsider doing business with this organization.

Wow! I took a small group of students there today and we all had the most amazing time! Our hostess was Petra. She was knowledgeable, warm and relatable. My group ranged from K-4 and they all enjoyed themselves. The activities were well planned out. We had an old fashioned fun day, no tablet can compare to smashing pumpkins and diving into piles of leaves. Real life fun, no charger needed! Thank you Wyckoff house staff for helping to create lasting memories.

Barry made sure the money I donated 100% of it went to the Ukraine Project headed up by his friend Andrew Kinsel. I wanted to give to a charity with a direct personal contact so I could see<br>what the donation was being used for. I talked with Andrew who is living in Ukraine now and can tell you he is prudent with the funding he receives. If you can donate please do so and share this cause with others.
