Causes: Arts & Culture, Arts Education
Mission: We are dedicated to providing a stage/platform/gallery for creative living by facilitating community, economic, and artist/cultural development. The goal is to educate the public about the importance of the arts and the positive effects it has on preserving and promoting the culture of the greater acadiana area while providing a better understanding of the artistic contributions made by other cultures of the world, particularly the french culture so prevalent in the region.
Programs: Frederick l'ecole des arts: vdirected workshops and classes in the school and sponsored artists to teach in the schools of rural parishes.
music of acadiana performance series offers workshops, classes and performances as well as a music and lecture series of the music of the acadiana region.
fire and water rural arts celebration showcases our programming with a free public festival celebrating the culture of the greater acadiana region. Around 500-600 people attended the festival demonstration.
jacques arnaud french studies collection. We visited articulteurs, an organization with aims similar to nunus in redon, france for a cultural exchange with plans to bring a french arts and music delegation to rural cajun and creole louisiana.
