Mission: Founded in 1996 by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, Notre Dame Education Center grew out of the need of residents of Northeast and Southeast D.C. for adult education. In a city where 50 percent of black males aged 18 to 35 have contact with the criminal justice system (either in jail, on parole or on probation) we recognize our clients personal dignity and help them take charge of their life circumstances.
Programs: We conduct classes to prepare adults for the GED, in addition to computer instruction classes and ESOL classes, during regular working hours (9 AM to 5 PM) from Monday through Thursday year round.
