Mission: The organization acts as a business advocate and catalyst for increased public and private support for arts and culture.
Programs: Membership: during 2014, northwest business committee for the arts (bca) continued to recruit and support business members who support the mission of engaging every business in the arts.
training and capacity building: during the year, bca conducted leadership training and board development training, and connected business volunteers to nonprofit arts and culture organizations. Bca developed and presented workshops to prepare individuals for effective service on arts boards and helped place participants on boards.
outreach and advocacy: during 2014, bca continued to educate the business community about public policies affecting arts and culture and promoted the benefits of contributing to oregon's cultural trust. Bca remained active in community task forces, candidate forums and collaboratives addressing issues relating to arts and culture funding and resources. Bca convened community forums to discuss intersection of arts and businesses and discover mutual interests.
