Mission: To further the advancement of the whippet breed and to do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of whippet racing and to encourage sportsmanlike conduct at such events.
Programs: During the year of 2017 ncwc gathered for 4 weekends sponsoring a total of 2 individual events and 2 open field events. This was for the enjoyment, betterment and conditioning of the sight hound breed. The owners had the opportunities to enjoy watching their dogs perform while they competed for ribbons, bragging rights and racing titles. The dogs got to do what comes naturally to them, run. The owners got to watch the excitement and discuss their individual pets abilities. We had people from up and down the coast. We also had attendance from people who live in b. C. The club also offered training sessions to encourage new sighthound owners to come and teach their dogs and themselves the proper training enabling them to participate in future events.
