Mission: The north star historic conservancy was formed to restore, maintain, and operate the north star historic district; more than 14 acres of nevada countys mining heritage, including the north star house.
Programs: Damaged walls in dining room repaired. Entry hall refinished. New windows built and installed. New lighting fixtures installed in house. Reshingle work continued. New doors installed. Verandah reshingled. Ground floor storage cleared. Assay office damage repaired and repainted. Second floor work begun.
ongoing maintenance and administration of historic north star building and grounds provided by 44 volunteer members and 8 non-c0mpensated board members. New pathways constructed. Dead vegetaion removed. Benches installed. Grounds in vicinity of assay office cleared and fire suppression work initiated. Water well repaired for grounds irrigation.
