Mission: The mission of the organization is to create, facilitate, and promote economic development. The organization also has special programs to assist disadvantaged citizens in the west texas area with special emphasis on economic development in north and east lubbock
Programs: In calendar year 2013, program services included the following activities: the nelcdc homebuyer assistance program provided potential homeowners seeking to reside in north or east lubbock. The organization conducted 4 homebuyer education workshops and provided financial literacy counseling for 119 people. Down payment and closing costs assistance are provided to first time home owners coupled with pre and post purchase counseling. Incentives are also provided for potential homebuyers to purchase homes within the target area.
