Mission: Our mission is to expand humanity's knowledge of itself and the universe, and to foster positive change through dialogue, integration and synergy between science and religion. During our first two years of operation we have supported graduate students, produced an edited volume of research articles and commissioned papers on how to advance the field. NASARF also co-sponsored an international science conference which received significant media attention, including coverage in the New York Times.Our goal is to foster deeper, broader and more efficient research, thus reducing cycle time for critical discoveries. We believe that these discoveries have the potential to deepen our understanding of the human striving toward religion, promoting peace and tolerance through greater understanding of religious differences. We will accomplish this goal by delivering a suite of infrastructure services, including:*scholarships for both secular and faith-based studies of religion* technology initiatives to promote networking and knowledge sharing across institutional and departmental boundaries* sponsorship for conferences and lectures* research grants* travel assistance for graduate students to attend workshops and conferences
