Year after year Healthy Learning Paths continues to be a shining star in our community. The organization is constantly researching and updating curriculum as our world changes and the needs of our community changes. Our community is so blessed to have HLP in our lives and in our children's lives!
Healthy Learning Paths has really come through in these trying times. On short notice they produced videos of their most important health lessons for teachers to share during on-line learning when schools were closed in the spring.
Their newsletters are filled with useful information and many resources for parents, families and teachers to help make the pandemic easier to manage.
Thank you, Healthy Learning Paths!

Our kindergrten children loved the hands-on learning that our well-trained Healthy Learning Paths educator provided throughout the school year. Parents reported that their children were more interested in "eating their colors" and staying away from drinks that are high in sugar. At school our children were also more interested in eating more fruits and vegetables at snack and in the cafeteria. Healthy Learning Paths really helped our little ones start to develop healthy eating habits. We love the program!
Healthy Learning Paths is a great organization that educates, empowers and works with kids and families through schools, organizations, and direct or virtual interactions, to learn and be able to achieve a more productive and healthy life.
A great organization! Healthy Learning Paths is such a unique nonprofit that supports our children so well by teaching them about healthy food choices in a positive way and supporting families in making healthy decisions as well. They are also dedicated to teaching about a number of other health-related topics that affect our children now, and serve as a tremendous resource for schools.
Great organization doing amazing work with children and families. Their program has proven to work and it empowers kids (but parents too!) to make healthy food choices.

Healthy Learning Paths mission and work fits with my values and my passion as a nurse. It fosters a healthy life style for our children. I believe in this organization's mission so much that I joined their Board of Directors! Dr. Chris Marchioni and her staff are so easy to work with and are very creative when it comes to the lesson plans. It is wonderful to see the impact the knowledge the children come home with which influences their parents! I wish my adult children would have experienced these lessons. Lessons that look at the whole child, not just nutrition, for example there are lessons that cover dental and social and emotional health. Our children will be in a better place because of Healthy Learning Paths.
Healthy Learning Paths is a Colorado nonprofit focused on kids' health: their physical, mental, emotional and oral health. The organization truly is child-centered; they provide hands-on learning in a fun, dynamic classroom setting and utilize the "train the trainer" model to make classroom teachers experts in the Healthy Learning Paths curriculum. It's a 360 approach since the children learn about their health and the importance of living a healthy lifestyle while simultaneously their teachers and parents are learning too. The goal is to raise healthy, vibrant, engaged and informed children. Healthy Learning Paths does this in an evidence-based, data-driven manner, but again with an active approach that gets the children involved and excited to learn and grow. The organization is currently in the Denver Metro area and has seen real results in the schools they serve; my hope is they can expand to cover children across the state of Colorado. It's truly that effective and that important. I love this organization!
Our school implemented healthy paths curriculum into our school last year. Students benefited from learning healthy sleep routines, healthy foods to fuel their bodies, the importance of water and daily movement, and much more. Students were engaged in books, activities, and hands on learning. We look forward to continuing this year.
I teach the Healthy Pathways in my third grade classroom. The lessons are informative and engaging. Great hands on activities that help kids understand abstract ideas about their physical and emotional health.
I used Healthy Learning Paths Curriculum in my classroom last year. I felt the lessons were relevant to concepts the kids were learning throughout our school, as well as in their classrooms. The lessons were fun, uplifting, and engaging.
We implemented Healthy Learning Paths curriculum in our 3rd grade classrooms last year. The students thoroughly enjoyed both the wellness and social learning aspects of the program. From hands on teeth brushing and white light germ lessons to learning to read each others facial expressions so we are better at noticing and helping our friends who are having a hard day. We feel so much gratitude for the thoughtfully planned lessons and being provided with the wealth of resources in each kit that allows teachers to open the kit and be ready to roll out the lessons.
As a building Principal I truly appreciate the Healthy Learning Paths curriculum. It provides our teachers easy to use lesson plans and resources that the students enjoy interacting with. The lessons are easily incorporated into our existing schoolwide traits program.
Healthy Learning Paths has made a huge impact on several of our elementary schools! Staff, families, and students have not only received education and guidance on making healthy choices but have had fun in the process. The Train the Trainer model makes the program sustainable, and HLP staff are dedicated to making sure teachers and administrators feel supported at all times. They have been a true pleasure to work with!
Healthy Learning Paths is informative and fun! The activities were obviously designed by people who understand children! True professionals who care about healthy children! Loved it!
I had the pleasure and opportunity to facilitate lesson that increased students knowledge and practices around healthy habits, in turn bolstering their physical, social and emotional well-being. As I would walk into the room to facilitate a lesson, the students would cheer with excitement. The students were engaged and excited about the material being taught. Students would often stop me in the halls or during lunch to share how they had applied the concepts to aid with healthy life choices, such as how much sleep they have been getting, encouraging family members to increase their water intake or solving a conflict with a friend in a positive and respectful manner. I would recommend this program to anyone!
Working with Healthy Learning Paths has allowed us to bring quality health education to our students. Not only are the lessons engaging, interactive and manageable, but they are also fun and expose students to healthy habits that they can implement themselves. Great program!
When Healthy Learning Paths came into my classroom not only did my students learn something, I also ended up learning something! I had no idea the sugar content in some of the beverages I drink and was just as shocked as the kids. The hands on visual demonstrations really help the kids understand the concepts they are learning. Can't wait for the next lesson!
Healthy Learning Paths has come into my integrated bilingual preschool classroom for the past two years. The program uses hands on, interactive lessons to teach children that they have the power to be healthy. It is a wonderful program that the students love and gives the teachers healthy tips to share with parents. The program is great in the classroom and provides a wonderful school to home connection.
We are partnering with Healthy Learning Paths to bring wellness lessons regarding the whole child to our first and second graders. The lessons have been interactive, exciting and memorable for our students. The staff has helped us from training in a lecture format, questions and answers, hands on training, asking and integrating our feedback to co-teaching lessons with us.
I am a 2nd grade teacher and feel so lucky to be involved with Healthy Learning Pathways! My students are loving the program and are learning real life skills and applying them! It's been a fun and creative way to enhance teaching them about health and social emotional wellness!
Healthy Learning Paths has been an invaluable asset to compliment our Health Curriculum at Mtn. View Elementary in Longmont. The facilitators have been well-trained, well prepared and really engaging for our first grade students.
Healthy Learning Paths comes into my Early Childhood Special Education classroom. They have a wonderful bilingual program to teach students and parents to be scientists and to engage in healthy learning choices. The students and parents are actively engaged in learning and work together to continue healthy learning at home as well as in school.

Healthy Learning Paths came into our integrated and bilingual preschool classroom multiple times last year. This fabulous program allowed all students to become scientists. They were involved in hands on, engaging activities that allowed them to make connections about having a healthy body and mind.
Healthy Learning Paths (HLP) strives to teach the importance of all around good health. I helped one of HLP’s staff when we visited with kindergarten students at a bi-lingual school. During these sessions, the HLP staff member talked about eating a variety of healthy foods, getting plenty of exercise and sleep, and general overall health. One time we made guacamole. The students chopped the avocados and tomatoes, and squeezed lemon juice onto the mixture. They also cut fresh vegetables for dipping. One little boy informed us that he didn’t like guacamole even though he had never tried it. We asked him to take at least a small bite. He exclaimed it was really good, and proceeded to eat his portion and ask for seconds. The HLP staff member always strived to make the sessions fun as well as try to teach the students the importance of eating healthy foods as part of all over good health.
I've supported this outstanding organization for more than 10 years and continue to be amazed at their outstanding focus on helping our youth understand the importance of a healthy diet, the value of exercise and the importance of getting adequate sleep. I have observed their in-school programs and am impressed with their focus on the kids, teachers and parents in the deliver of Healthy Learning Paths. I have been the volunteer coordinator for the Frank Shorter RACE4Kids' Healthy Event for the last 9 years. I believe in the impact they are having and am a major financial contributor. This is an organization that makes a difference and supports our kids to be happy and healthy. Outstanding!

Healthy Learning Paths is a great organization formed by a very dedicated doctor (Dr. Chris Marchioni) that was alarmed by the number of children she was seeing in her practice that had medical problems that were avoidable with the development of healthy habits. This organization and their wonderful staff and volunteers teach classes in our north area schools that focus kids and their parents on healthy diets, the importance of exercise and the importance of getting proper amounts of sleep. Healthy Learning Paths is impacting the lives of many children and is doing an outstanding job of teaching the importance of healthy habits at an early age. I've helped put on the Frank Shorter RACE4Kid's Health Event for the last 9 years because I strongly believe in the importance of their mission. I am also a financial contributor because of the effectiveness of their organization.....knowing the money is wisely spent.
Healthy Learning Paths is a wonderful organization to volunteer for. They have a set curriculum and structure to their classes that they offer to classrooms of preschoolers to parents. It is an easy to learn format and they provide instructors with flexible meeting times to train you on how to use their curriculum. I also learned a lot about nutrition and health through teaching HLP classes. It was overall a fun and rewarding experience.
Healthy Learning Paths is a unique non-profit that focuses on a global approach to teaching children about health. An ongoing series of classes during the school year with evening parent meetings and teacher support leads to measured success in outcome studies = unique! I help teach classes with Dr. Marchioni and I also volunteer regularly for the Frank Shorter race 4 Kids health - a combined 5 K with various kids and family fun runs and walks AND an exceptional health expo for families and kids - over 80 exhibitors yearly - many hospitals and universities and large museums all attend yearly. All free to the public - except for the 5K race. This is a great example of a community building event and one reason I love volunteering for this unique non-profit!!!
Healthy Learning Path is a program dedicated to help teachers, students and families learned about healthy habits using the students' age appropriate books and activities that engaged young children and increase their motivation to keep trying. It helped me as teacher to cover the Health curriculum in an easy and engaging way. It provided support to parents through letters and presentation throughout the year.
I work at the venue where Healthy Learning Paths has their annual Race4Kids Health 5K and Expo and I look forward to the event every year. It is such a great event for the community and region. The Healthy Learning Paths team works extremely hard to teach children and families the importance of a healthy lifestyle. I hope Healthy Learning Paths continues to grow so their mission may reach and influence our entire country!
As a classroom teacher I was able to see first-hand how Healthy Learning Paths makes a postive, sustainable difference in the lives of children and their families. It is an amazingly powerful program!

This organization does great work for the health of kids and families. Their programs, including the Frank Shorter Race, empower members of the community to make healthy choices for their physical and mental health.
Healthy Learning Paths is a dedicated nonprofit that supports healthier lives for children. They work locally with schools to promote Nutrition and healthy learning. I volunteer for Healthy Learning Paths because I believe in their cause and I also want to spread the word about the importance of health for children.
This program is the best way to help kids get excited about their own health, including exercise, sleep, nutrition and emotional topics, taught in ways kids can understand. The classes are excellent and always hands-on. HLP teaches our classes in Spanish at our school, with the same excellent instructor for the last several years. Her Spanish and instructional techniques are amazing; I am always so happy to have her in the classroom.
Truly one of the best non-profits out there! Spreading knowledge on health, nutrition and wellness to the next generation is literally life-saving. Thank you Healthy Learning Paths!
Healthy Learning Paths is a great organization that has a way of connecting with the younger generation when it comes to empowering individuals to take control of their healthy habits. Their lessons are hands on experiences that make learning fun for the kids which translates to parents who are more aware of their kids' health.
Healthy Learning Paths is a small organization filled with smart, passionate, and dedicated professionals. I am continually amazed at how much they accomplish and how much good their programs do in serving the communities in which they operate.
Making a positive difference in the world through impactful and educational training / teaching. The race that HLP puts on in April is an incredible display for families to learn healthy behaviors - and get in a good run!
This organization has kids health at the very core. They educate kids, and adults to give children the very best chance for a healthy adulthood!
Healthy Learning Paths is an amazing nonprofit! The overhead is low so that most of the money can go directly to the kids. The curriculum is based in science with proven results! The Race for Kids Health is the best 5K around.

Healthy Learning Paths is a fun, age appropriate, evidence based program that gets kids off to healthy habits during preschool and kindergarten. It has proven results and the kids and teachers love having us in the classroom. As a pediatrician I see that this is really needed among today's families and children. We are surrounded by processed foods and soda and electronics and kids needs tools and knowledge to help them make healthy choices. The program addresses many factors including nutrition, movement, dental health, and mental health. This is the answer for preventing obesity, diabetes and heart disease.
Thanks to Healthy Learning Paths program "My Kindergarten students now want to eat veggies". My parents keep telling me that how we did it, how we make students eating veggies? I only tell them that HLP had a presentation and students were involved in the whole process of the salad. I pointed out that once students are involved and feel part of any process they value the product and feel proud and part of the results.
Wonderful people doing critically important work to help kids live healthy, fulfilling lives.

Healthy Learning Paths and their team are providing a truly vital service to our kids and communities. Many of us are acutely aware of the physical and mental health challenges kids are facing but have few solutions. The schools have a limited understanding of the options available to help kids make healthy choices and lead better lives. The professionals and parents that are an integral part of raising our kids are looking for a proven process and materials like the solutions Healthy Learning Paths provide. It is an urgent problem and we need to start treating it that way.
I became aware of Healthy Learning Paths this past winter. The more I learned about its mission and the focus on helping children and families make healthy choices in all aspects of their lives, the more impressed I was. The dedication and passion demonstrated by the CEO,staff and Board members convinced me that this was an organization worth supporting. I am now a member of HLP's Board. Giving children and parents the resources to help their children navigate the many complex and challenging aspects of the society facing our young children today is a mission we should all support and be on.

Healthy Learning Paths is one of the most impactful organizations I have had the pleasure of working with. Their unique approach to early childhood education and eliminating preventable diseases produces incredible and measurable outcomes. I am proud to be associated with an organization that is working upstream to prevent disease in our children.
They provide meaningful and authentic learning experiences that empower children and families to make healthy living choices in both English and Spanish. They are an amazing, family-focused resource that we are fortunate to have in our community.
I have volunteered with Healthy Learning Paths for two years and couldn't be more proud of the community they serve. Teaching children to take care of their bodies from a scientific approach is so important. The children just love the classes and I would like to see these programs implemented in all schools. I hope we can continue to raise more funds so we can increase the number of schools we see, plus find more schools who can potentially pay for these programs themselves.
Healthy Learning Paths empowers and teaches children in a fun and interactive manner how to make overall healthy choices. The kids get excited when their presenter walks in the door of their classroom. They cheer, it is a Healthy Learning day!
As a Kindergarten Teacher at Mtn. View Elementary in the St. Vrain School District, I so appreciate having The Healthy Learning Paths Curriculum as a part of our coursework. The presentations and presenters are very informative, engaging and appropriately leveled to each grade level. The children and I look forward to the HLP lessons. We provided with pre and post activities for enriching each lesson. The topics provide practical and positive information that teach us healthy habits and lifestyles to begin now. Parent involvement and hands-on lessons enhance the curriculum.
I welcome any questions you may have regarding the teacher's perspective on Healthy Learning Paths.

As a classroom preschool teacher in a bilingual (Spanish-English) school I have found Healthy Learning Paths to be an incredible asset. The lessons and materials are available in both English and Spanish and connect well with the current curriculum objectives. In addition, they are developmentally appropriate. The kids LOVE the hands-on activities that allow them to explore and learn through a constructivist model. We see children taking on the learning and applying it throughout the year. The program is meaningful, powerful and makes a difference in the lives of children. Thank you so much!
Seven years ago, I learned that a wise and compassionate physcian had created a non-profit called
'Healthy Learning Paths'. After meeting, and getting to know, Dr. Chris Marchioni and the depth of the Healthy Learning Paths educational program, I was hooked!
The Healthy Learning Paths curriculum presented by trained professionals brings families, children
and teachers together to build healthy life styles. Good life choices are taught using math, science, etc. in ways that children find fascinating. "To be well, you must be well!" reflects the passion of those who support Healthy Learning Paths. We help children and their families become strong and healthy.
Others talk about childhood obesity and diabetes, Healthy Learning Paths' supporters, teachers, volunteers, parents, children and schools are doing the work....no boasting....just facts.
I give my time and financial support to HLP because HLP has proved that this program has a positive impact on the lives of children and their families. At my age, wasting time is not an option.

Healthy Learning Paths conducted their "Be Well Live Well" program at my young son's preschool. My son was engaged and very receptive to the creative ways the program was presented. As a parent I greatly appreciated the science based facts taught in a fun, age appropriate manner. He learned some healthy lessons that will serve him very well throughout his life! Thank you!!
I am a school psychologist and believe in promotion of health and mental health. Healthy Learning Paths provides health and mental health educational services to all students through creative and fun programming in the classroom. They also provide research based information for parents and teachers because sharing the information with all is the best way to foster wellness. Health and happiness is the necessary foundation for building strong, successful, lifelong learners, and Healthy Learning Paths provides the programming for cultivating healthy and happy children ready to learn.
Healthy Learning Paths is founded by an incredibly bright, gifted and passionate former medical doctor that wanted to change healthy habits rather than treat disease. Volunteering with Dr. Marchioni and the rest of Healthy Learning Paths organization has always been top quality and for the health and wellness of kids. I will continue to do more volunteer efforts with HLP and hope to help change the world for the better with the organization.
Very passionate and professional staff, and the kids they worked with loved the programs. Was awesome to see elementary kids excited to learn about health and wellness!
