Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals

Mission: We advocate and care for stray, feral, and abandoned felines. "A Community Saving a Colony" is our slogan as colony caretakers are important to the survival of many strays and we support them by providing TNR servìces and adoption using socialization when possible. Also it is important we receive information from the public whether it be a colony in need of TNR or one injured cat needing care for our rescue to best serve all community felines. While we do provide TNR service, we believe it should be a last resort measure. Meaning, that lost cats should be reunited with their owners, very sick cats humanely euthanized, and those capable of socializing adopted out to good homes.

I have been fostering for NFLB for about 6 months now. It makes me feel so good to help little kitties be able to trust humans and get the love and care they need. It takes patience and time, but they learn to trust people and be a wonderful pet.
I have so much respect for Kathryn and Dennis who help these poor abandoned or feral cats be safe and not continue to have litter after litter of poor kittens who don't always make it out in the harsh environments. They are doing a wonderful thing with their shelter and it's too bad the bigger shelters won't help the smaller shelters out since they all should be working together. All cats need love.

I have so much respect for this nonprofit and its owners. Rescuing poor cats born outside or abandoned and getting them fixed and then doing their best to give these poor kitties a better life. Not making a profit and doing it out of the goodness of their hearts. Tons of kiddos to them.

I signed up to help with No Feline Left Behind on a volunteer website and was contacted right away. The family I spoke with were very kind and informative and they helped me decide which cat(s) would be best for my home to foster/socialize. NFLB provided dry food, wet food, litter, litter box, kennel, calming spray and toys to start. I helped with 2 cats that came in together. The organization contacted me via e-mail to check in on the cats and also to make sure that I was doing okay with them. They provided tips and literature so I could learn how to best care for the cats. We were so pleased with the experience and it felt great to be able to make a difference and have them in our hearts and our home. I would highly recommend them!

I met with the folks from No Feline Left Behind and I was amazed at how much time and effort this organization puts into saving animals. I adopted Bailey from NFLB and she is already right at home with our family. She is very loving and plays well with our other cats. Thank you for allowing us to adopt such a wonderful kitty!

We wanted to add a cat to our home. We started looking at all the websites online when we came across No Feline Left Behind. We fell in love with "Mo" with his first picture. I contacted Kathryn at the shelter. She told us Mo was available for adoption and sent us the adoption paperwork. We were quickly accepted. We were told of a special program in lieu of the adoption fee. We purchased a bed and liner ($51.00). I thought this was an exceptional idea to help their other cats in need. We arranged to pick up Mo. When we arrived at their home, we were greeted by Kathryn's husband. He was a friendly man who told us their story about their rescued cats. He went upstairs to retrieve Mo and that's where our story begins. Mo was a beautiful cat and a lot bigger than we anticipated. He had a unique low vocal meow sound rather than the usual high pitched meow you hear from most cats. When we left, he talked to us all the way home. When we got home he explored the whole house, made himself at home and acted like he had lived with us his whole life. We have taken him on vacation with us twice and he travels well. Mo doesn't know a stranger. He is now 16 and 1/2 pounds of pure love. I would like to thank the No Feline Left Behind and the loving couple that makes this shelter a wonderful place to get the pet of your dreams. We love Mo! Thanks again for all you do. NFLB is one of a few that really love what they do. They have quite a few kitties in forever home. They take care of outside colonies and they also trap and work with Strays and fetsls

I have been without a cat for almost 7 years. I didn't think I'd ever be able to replace my cat that I had for 15 years. I was wrong. I also thought I wanted a kitten. Wrong again. When I saw Trixie on-line, I had to meet her. She just looked like "the one". She was almost 2 and a stray that had already had a litter of kittens. No Feline Left Behind took her and her kittens in -and when the babies were old enough, they were easily adopted. When I met Trixie in person, I just sensed she was my cat. Nothing big, but a feeling just the same. I feel sure she was never a feral cat - I think someone abandoned her and her 3 week old kittens. She was an angel in the car for the hour long ride to my house. She totally belonged in my home within a day and a half. She is just young enough to still be "fun" and playful and just old enough to not tear things up in the process. One of her favorite places to be is wedged between me and the arm of my favorite (now her favorite too) chair. Everyone who meets her thinks she is the best cat ever - including the vet and vet techs. I changed her name to Bailey Rae and she comes when I call her. I haven't had her even 2 months yet and I can't even remember when she wasn't here.. She has brought me more joy than I can even share. We belong to each other. So grateful and thankful to NFLB. After leaving home in another state to attend school, I was feeling lonely and decided I wanted a companion. After looking through No Feline Left Behind, Patty caught my eye. I noticed that she was a stray which I didn't mind. Maybe a day after I took her home, she began sleeping with me constantly and following me around my home. She is extremely affectionate and loves being around people. She even comes and greets me with meows when I come home from school everyday! I am forever thankful for No Feline Left Behind to let me take Patty home.

The children wanted a pet for Christmas, our daughter specifically wanted a little black kitten. We did a brief search and liked the description of a kitten with No Feline Left Behind. They were SOOOOO nice! Very responsive and attentive to our family dynamic. They paired us up with the cutest, funniest, happiest little kitty who fit in with us right away. The process was so easy, she was obviously well cared for and well adjusted, you'd never guess she was an alley rescue. Magic is full of love and life, very playful and always hungry! LOL I can always reach out to No Feline Left Behind if I have any questions or concerns, there haven't been many but it's nice to know they are there and so responsive. I HIGHLY recommend them!

For many years we were a house of five pets, dogs and cats. Over the years, we lost them, one by one, mostly to old age or illness. Our cat was fourteen and, we thought, maybe in need of company (he may beg to differ!). We wanted, and got a funny, affectionate black kitten with wonderful green eyes. Her name is Nala.
The adoption was easy and the "foster parents" quick to respond to emails regarding some health questions that came up early on after the adoption.
I will return to this group when or if the need arises and will certainly refer anyone looking for a new cat or kitten.

My husband and I lost a cat in October suddenly and from a rare disorder. Our hearts were broken.

In January we made up our minds that we must have another cat. We wanted a domestic, short-haired, black female. Online we found No Feline Left Behind and Zoey. The minute we saw her beautiful gold eyes staring back at us from behind the camera, we knew she was ours. We immediately contacted No Feline Left Behind, and the very next day we were on our way to meet her. She came home with us that afternoon.

I have no idea of the amount of patience required to socialize a feral kitty or the skill involved, but No Feline Left Behind has all that and more. We know this because Zoey is warm and loving. She plays and purrs and likes her little head rubbed. Our Zoey is the light of our life. She has filled our broken hearts with joy and love.

We highly recommend No Feline Left Behind to anyone looking for a kitty to adopt.
