Mission: To collect and preserve the artifacts,photographs,documents,publications and genealogical records that relate to the history of newport county ri; to make these materials readily available for both research and enjoyment; and to act as a resource center for the education of the public about the history of newport county.
Programs: Collections - preserve and protect objects,artifacts, photographs, manuscripts,and books, and maintain a historical research library which is open to the general public
education - educate the public on regional history through means such as walking tours of city, historic site tours, lectures and other programs.
