Mission: To advocate for pro-bicycle policies & funding at all levels of government, educate new yorkers about bicycle safety, provide technical assistance & support to advocates & govt entities, & promote bicycle tourism across the state.
Programs: Educated more new yorkers on safe cycling practices. Certified nearly 20 new league cycling instructors across the state. Created videos to explain nys bike law to educate local law enforcement officers. Encoraged bike tourism with amtraks bikes on board initiative. Showcased 2 of our states 10 beautiful regions with cycleny rides for advocacy. Distributed mini-grants to 3 community bike shops from our vamos fund for bicycling development. Revised our popular pocket guide. Succesfully brought the first nys bike summit to fruition with more than 30 sponsors including 6 government agencies & over 200 attendees.
