Mission: The association is a five-member organization whose members collaborate to coordinate statewide food bank activities such as food solicitation and distribution, fundraising, education, advocacy, and research.
Programs: Fresh produce initiative - the associaton acquired and distributed more than 3. 7 million pounds of fresh produce to our member food banks and supported our member food banks in distributing an additional seven million three hundred thuosand (7,300,000) pounds. Member support - the association provides transportation support to member food banks to distribute commodities from the usda to people in need. Member food banks distributed approximately 8. 3 million pounds of tefap commodities during the year ended june 30, 2017.
