I saw a production of Macbeth as well as a production of one act plays. Both productions were completely different, except for one thing: the acting was superb. The acting company obviously works very hard, and I appreciated that they support new playwrights.

Circus Theatricals deserves the attention and support of all theater lovers whether they be in the highest levels of the industry or casual theater-goers. The sheer determination of its founder, Jack Stehlin, and the tenacity of his wife, Jeannine Stehlin, keep this loving theater company moving forward. It's time that the Los Angeles area theater executives honor Circus Theatricals once again and support it as it seeks a permanent location. The City of Culver City is the perfect location for Circus Theatricals. I recommend that Culver City do all it can to help Circus Theatricals locate there before the company finds a different site. It would definitely be Culver City's loss.

This organization has a heart of Platinum, and people with the talent of Eagles. Through the years I have seen many of their plays and participated in their events. There is no higher standard of professionalism or dedication to the art and the community.

Circus Theatricals is a long-time favorite Los Angeles theatre destination. Circus Theatricals is run by charismatic Artistic Director Jack Stehlin, who founded the company in New York in 1983 and then relocated it to Los Angeles in 1995. Jack Stehlin is also a world-class actor, who regularly works on TV, film and the stage. Circus Theatricals produces classic and new plays to critical acclaim. Their productions always get fabulous reviews in LA Times as well as the other media outlets. In the past two years, (just to name a few productions), they produced the Shakespeare classics Twelfth Night, Macbeth and Taming of the Shrew, Three Sisters by Anton Chekov, and original plays Harm's Way and Man.gov by Pen USA winner Shem Bitterman. They also produced the American classic The Women, by Clare Boothe Luce. If you go see a play at Circus Theatricals, there is a great chance that you'll see some very recognizable faces on stage and in the audience. Circus Theatricals also has a professional actors training program. The program offers studios in theatre, film and television. It's a great place to launch and/or work on your acting career, see great theatre, and meet people who are busy in the industry. Circus Theatricals is also a home to established and emerging writers. They host an annual New Plays Festival, accepting stage plays from writers all over the world. Last year, they produced 16 new one act plays. This year, Circus Theatricals branched out and launched The New American Screenplay Contest. The winner in the short film category will have their screenplay produced, and the winner of the feature category wins a cash prize. Whatever your interests are, Circus Theatricals is a great and creative place to be.
