Mission: Ngmc enriches, enlightens, and entertains our audiences and community through the power and artistry of music. Ngmc seeks to provide social and fellowship experiences that reach beyond the realm of our musical purpose to deepen and enrich the lives of our members. Ngmc provides opportunities to present a positive image for the glbt minority in northern nevada
Programs: The "yasss, queen! A pop icon tribute" was performed at the trinity church in reno providing a holiday celebration for all members of the community. The 2016 spring concert,"red, white & fabulous: an american music retrospective," provided an evening of exploration of american music from three perspectives: the native american, the european settler and the african american with music from american composers.
a special performance by the ngmc occurred in april 2016 for the grand opening ceremony for "our center" in reno, nv. "our center" is a community center established to provide and maintain a safe, empowering and supportive center in northern nevada that addresses advocacy, education and services to the lgbtq community.
the ngmc participated in the august 2016 northern nevada pride parade in support to the lgtbq community and hosted a booth to recruit members for the chorus and audience building.
