Mission: The primary exempt purpose of the organization is to educate the public about the damage that continued population growth will inflict on our environment and quality of life in the future. Npg is a national membership organization founded to educate the american public and political leaders about the detrimental effects of overpopulation on our environment, resources, and quality of life. Npg advocates a smaller and truly sustainable united states population accomplished through voluntary incentives for smaller families and immigration levels. Npg is a leader in the movement for a sound population policy that recognizes crucial linkages between population growth, environmental degradation and a declining quality of life.
Programs: Public education - for over 40 years, npg's mission has been to generate broad public support for programs designed to slow, halt, and eventually reverse population growth. Through advertising, publications, a comprehensive website, and student outreach programs, npg continues to reach millions of americans with our critical message.
