Mission: The national women veterans association of america is a women's organization that provides a range of veteran services for female veterans and their children. Backed by more than 20 years of experience, we are proud to help those who have bravely defended our country. We offer seminars, workshops, conferences, and hiring fairs.
Programs: Healing and hiring fair - the focus of the event was to help women veterans and their children, 18 and older, obtain employment. Computer literacy, resume building, cost of college, and how to apply for federal jobs were some of the areas covered during the event. There were approximately 150 participants in attendance, 8 volunteers, and 20 vendors, such as prospective employers. Approximately 15% of the attendees were able to secure employment as a result of the event.
be a blessing challenge - holiday toy drive, which provided toys to 150 active duty military families. All the toys were donated to the organization by ac green foundation.
