Mission: The Savannah Parkinson's Support Group is the local network for those living with Parkinson's. Interact with others like you, and gain practical advice and insights on managing treatment or therapies for Parkinson's disease. GEM! (Get Excited and MOVE!) is an exercise program by SPSG for people with movement disorders and difficulties (PD, MS, ET, PSP, MSA, ALS, Lupus, Fibromyalgia), and their caregivers that is based in Savannah, GA.
Results: The SPSG has secured grants through the City of Savannah and Chatham County for our innovative exercise program focused on getting people with PD and other movement disorders to get up and move. Exercise has been shown to improve symptoms of PD.
