Mission: The mission is to help in the development, expansion and support of autism programs and services that improve the quality of life for individuals with autism.
Programs: Nfar funds community programs and pilot research studies. Nfar collaborates with different autism organizations and educational institutions to bring new solutions to our community. To date, nfar has funded over 700 initiatives for supporting chidlren and their families with autism.
in february 2015 nfar launched nfar tech after two successful pilots in 2013 and 2014. Nfar tech is a comprehensive training program specially designed for young adults with autism that integrates work expectations and social skill development into a technical skills curriculum. This program addresses the high unemployment rate 85 of todays youth with autism as they age out of the public school system, and offers a crucial bridge to employment. Nfar tech consists of technical training, employment skills training including an executive skills training program called success, preparation for industry recognized certification in software testing istqb-ctfl and real work experience.
