Mission: To design and implement educational programs relating to farming and other agricultural activities and to assist state and local governments in developing government programs relating to agricultural activities.
Programs: Through a cooperative agreement with fda, nasdarf is working to compare state authorities regarding the production of fruits and vegetables, determine the resources needed to successfully implement a state produce safety rule and drafting a strategic plan to assist states in aligning their produce safety requirements with fda's produce rule. Through this agreement, nasdarf coordinates many technical working group meetings and one large national meeting on an annual basis.
