Programs: Mpsns vision:mpsn believes that american muslims must play an active role in public service. Through civic engagement, american muslims are empowered to act on their social responsibilities, while contributing a critical voice that often goes unheard. Here is how we do it:enhancing leadership skills;facilitating professional development;educating about public service and civic engagement from islamic perspectives;developing an active and diverse network of community leaders;upholding and promoting diversity within the american muslim community including ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic status, school of thought, and political perspective;inspiring american muslims to leadership in public service. Mpsn's activity in 2014:mpsn put its yearly summer program on hold for a second year to identify new leadership to run the summer program. The board pursued various proposals for a revamped summer program and organization but were not able to secure enough administrative or financial support for those ideas. The board continued to solicit input from alumni and long-time supporters on potential directions for the organization, including replacing the yearly summer program with a non-residential, year-round seminar program, or with a grant program to promising students and alumni. Mpsn's goals for 2015:continue discussions with alumni and long-time supporters for new direction for the organizationhire permanent staff to carry out new vision
