Mission: Mrc- cincinnati is a multi-faceted teen center that uses recording and performing arts, as well as life skills, to create a sense of empowerment and accomplishment in the urban community. Our mission is to educate and inspire young people through music and equip them with life skills for the future.
Programs: Mrc partners with local organizations and schools to provide digital recording instructions. Two of the largest events are: mrc visits patients at cincinnati children's hospital for three days a month for eight months to help them make a beat, write a song, and record their original music. "intro to digital recording" after school outreach program: mrc visits schools where teens work collaboratively in groups and learn to make a beat, write a song, and record original music.
operate the after school teen center and music recording studio for teens in grades 7 through 12 to learn computer music production, recording and take music lessons. Mrc operates a 3,700 square foot facility and offers members access to multi-track recording srudios, private rooms, and performance opportunities. The mrc center is open monday-thursday from 2pm to 7pm, and includes summer hours.
other programming primarily includes studio rental. This involves members renting the studio and staff for off hour recording sessions.
