Mission: Mint theater company finds and produces worthwhile plays from the past that have been lost or forgotten. It is our mission to create new life for these plays through research, dramaturgy, production, publication, readings and a variety of enrichment programs.
Programs: In fy 2017, mint theater introduced 20,513 new york theatergoers to three neglected plays at the beckett theatre at theatre row at 330 west 42nd street-a day by the sea by n. C. Hunter, yours unfaithfully by miles malleson and the lucky one by a. A. Milne. We employed twenty-five equity actors, six equity stage managers, twelve designers, three directors, and dozens of other theater artists and practitioners. Fy 2017 also marked our first season as a resident company at theatre row. A day by the sea, named by the wall street journal as the year's "best revival of a modern play", ran for 100 performances and played to a total audience of 9,367 at an average capacity of 95%. A day by the sea featured three post-show enrichmint events. On august 15th, we produced a sold-out, one-night reading of n. C. Hunter's waters of the moon. Yours unfaithfully ran for 60 performances and played to a total audience of 5,272 at an average capacity of 89%. Yours unfaithfully featured five post-show enrichmint events. On february 13th, we hosted a sold-out, one-night reading of conflict by miles malleson. The lucky one ran for 75 performances and played to a total audience of 5,874 at an average capacity of 80%. The lucky one featured two post-show enrichmint events. On june 12th, we hosted a one-night reunion reading of mr. Pim passes by by a. A. Milne.
