Mission: The mission of the military order of the purple heart is to foster an environment of goodwill and camaraderie among combat wounded veterans, promote patriotism, support necessary legislative initiatives, and most importantly, provide service to all veterans and their families. Chapter 0900, moph is also involved in fundraising for a regional (texas panhandle) monument of courage to honor our rewgions medeal of honor recipients, gold star familioes and purple heart recipients.
Programs: We provided assistance to veterans and families through the payment of food vouchers, payment of electrical and gas bills, payment of water bills, payment of bus tickets, payment of commercial driver license reinstatements, payment of rent and payment of home mortgages. A grant of $1,000. 00 was pair to the horse refuge therapy center for pts treatment for veterans, and a grant of $10,000. 00 paid to the woody williams medal of honor foundation which supports gold star families.
