I would be very careful donating time or money to this "non-profit". I worked for the CEO and Director for about a month as a certified Quickbooks Online bookkeeper. During that time I found many questionable accounting functions that were not exactly kosher, according to non-profit accounting principles. In addition, I was refused any pay after working diligently to bring their books that were two and one-half years behind. I filed a small claims case, which was avoided for the better part of a year. Mission: Our mission is to convey high quality information to the public on topics useful to individuals and beneficial to society and the world (such as nonprofits, philanthropy, human rights, world affairs, the environment, health, science, technology and education), to promote the sharing and discussing of ideas and information, and to increase voluntarism, philanthropy and donations to charity.
Programs: Published over 2,000 editions of information on subjects of interest and use to individuals and to the public, including philanthropy, nonprofits, human rights, world affairs, the environment, science, health, technology and education. Most editions included text, audio clips, photos, and videos. We ended the year with over 6,500 registered users, which represents only a fraction of the total users, as most users do not register. Registration and use of our sites is free. We also posted all of our daily news items to four different feeds on twitter, and had over 100,000 ongoing users registered to follow our posts at twitter. We also published virtualrailroad. Org, an initiative to free modern-day slaves themed on the underground railroad that freed slaves in the 1800s. We also continued to publish the site worldwealthcalculator. Org in an effort to raise awareness of global poverty. We also published other websites and worked on creating four new websites to further accomplish our purposes of providing information to the public and promoting more volunteering and donating to nonprofits.
