Mission: MD Support is an all-volunteer, Internet-based community maintaining an extensive web site, a large email discussion group, an Internet message board and a program of monthly live webcasts for "unconnected" seniors, all developed for the purpose of giving people the information and support they need to deal with loss of central vision. The web site library is also available in large-print hard copies for those who do not have Internet access. MD Support is backed by a 12-member Professional Advisory Board made up of leading ophthalmologists, optometrists, and low vision specialists.
