Programs: Lupus foundation of america pacific northwest chapter seeks to find a cure for lupus through research and education. The foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for lupus patients and their loved ones. The pacific northwest chapter's mission is to educate and inform lupus patients, their families, the medical community, and the general public by promoting awareness and understanding of lupus; to support lupus patients and families by providing moral support, encouragement, and service to those whose lives have been affected by lupus; to promote and support research for better treatment and an eventual cure for lupus. Over the past fiscal year lfa-pnw operated a toll-free lupus support line, engaged in direct advocacy and community education, hosted community lupus walks across the region, and ran a number of lupus support groups in various cities.
