Mission: The Lucky Ones is a volunteer run organization based in Southern Maryland which began as an inspiration after the "Candlelight Vigil" of August 1992 which was held as a memorial to the thousands of pets killed annually by the Tri-County Animal Shelter, Hughesville MD, because of overpopulation. We established a low cost spay/neuter clinic in an effort to prevent these unwanted pets. We also rescue, foster, alter and place for adoption animals from the Tri-County Animal Shelter. Lucky Ones is devoted to ensuring each pet a treasured and loving home.
