Mission: Our mission is to provide excellence in health care and to promote lifelong cancer support and wellness for individuals living with cancer and for their families.
Programs: Living well cancer resource center is dedicated to providing people living with cancer, their families and friends, the support and educational services they need as they navigate their way through their diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. Living well's focus is to help cancer patients and their caregivers learn vital skills that enable the patients to regain control, reduce isolation and enhance their quality of life. Programs include: nutrition counseling, support groups, yoga and fitness classes, stress relief opportunities, a memoir writing group, bereavement, family support (including counseling for children and teens impacted by cancer) and support for cancer survivors. These services are offered at no cost to cancer patients and their families primarily in kane county and dupage county. Living well's costs of operations are covered through fundraising and donations received from the general public.
