Mission: BCAPA was founded in 1997 by Ellie Smith, Sue Lynch, and Mary Lee Minton, to seek to increase public knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of the performing arts while endeavoring to elevate the communities involvement toward the common goal of not only providing opportunities for financial support to artists in order for them to continue to learn and train, but also to give them the opportunity to perform for and in the community.
