Mission: Our mission is to use the arts to connect with residents of care facilities and others who feel isolated from their family or friends. Uplifting spirits by fostering empathetic relationships between compassionate students and isolated residents can help us all bridge social gaps brought on by quarantines and other circumstances. The pleasant sound of a musical instrument, a ray of color from vibrant paint, a chuckle from a well played game or a simple chat may be enough to shake away the loneliness many feel in difficult times.
Results: Since we first began in April of 2020, we've grown from a small community service idea to a 501(c)(3) that has hosted over 3000 meetings between seniors and youth in 6 chapters in 6 different states. We've raised and donated just over $7,000 worth of technology and art supplies to seniors and care facilities (all as of April 2021).
Target demographics: bridge generational gaps and combat loneliness caused by the pandemic
Direct beneficiaries per year: organize over 3,000 virtual activities in 6 different chapters.
Geographic areas served: several different chapters, but are able to work with any volunteer and senior care facility in any location.
Programs: one on one meetings between volunteers and seniors, group activities and virtual fundraisers
