Mission: The Lifespan Learning Institute, founded in 1993, offers physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, psychoanalysts, clinical social workers, psychiatric nurses, and other mental health professionals opportunities through seminars, workshops, study groups, as well as through audio and visual aids to learn about the latest theoretical research and practical developments in the mental health profession, in order that they may continue to strive for excellence in meeting the mental health needs of the individual and community in accordance with the guidelines of the American and California Medical Associations and the American Psychological Association. This commitment is rendered through the resolve of Lifespan Learning institute to offer a variety of forms for the dissemination of recent research and clinical developments on a broad list of topics of interest to mental health professions which are queried through evaluations, periodic mailings, personal consultations and planning committee meetings."
