Mission: The league of women voters of wa education fund is, to strengthening the public's knowledge of government in washington state. We sponsor and support nonpartisan educational projects to help the public better understand major public policy issues and become informed and active participants in their communities.

Programs: Forums for candidates running for select statewide offices were held, as a way for the lwvwa education fund to directly further the organization's voter education mission, in addition to candidate forums and general meetings of interest in local areas. Also a newspaper in education supplement was produced and promoted during the fall of 2016 to augment the local, printed brochures called 'they represent you' in five counties of the state. The brochures list elected officials for local and state and national government with their contact information. Over 15,000 copies of the brochures were printed for free distribution in libraries, community organizations, schools and to the general public. ,

marketed our civics textbook: the state we're in washington your guide to state, local and tribal governments. Although an online version of the text is available free of charge to educators throughout the state, there is nonetheless a sizable demand for bound books. Because we anticipate an updated edition of our book to be available by the end of calendar year 2017, many hard copies of of the book are sold at reduced rates to school districts or provided free of cost under certain circumstances.
